You Don't Need a Marketing Department You Need One Person Who Owns It

Most growing companies need marketing every week and cannot justify a $100,000 hire. So the work sits behind payroll, hiring, and whatever broke this morning.

You work with me. Not an account manager, not a junior designer, and not a team you have to re-brief every quarter. I set the plan, keep the site from turning into a junk drawer, and run the channels that actually make you money.

Two Reasons This Never Gets Done

It's Never Urgent

You’re not confused about whether marketing matters. You’re tired of it being the thing that never gets done. It sits on your desk behind payroll, hiring, and the client problem that blew up this morning. It’s important and it’s never urgent, so it moves to next quarter. Again.

Or You're Already Busy

Referrals are steady. The waitlist is full. It’s the season. Marketing feels like the answer to a problem you don’t have. Both are fair. This work still takes about 90 days before it produces anything, which means the moment it feels unnecessary is the only comfortable time to start.

By the time it feels necessary, you’re already a quarter behind. The competitor who did handle it is the one showing up when your customers search. That’s the difference between being the obvious choice and being one of five names someone compares at nine at night.

So the question is not whether marketing matters. It’s how much of this you want off your plate, and for how long.

THE MATH

What a Marketing Hire Actually Costs

A marketing coordinator in New England runs roughly $55,000 to $90,000 a year. Add payroll taxes, benefits, equipment, software, and the time it takes to recruit and train, and you're closer to $100,000 before anyone has built anything.

And one coordinator gives you one skill set. You still need a designer, a copywriter, someone who understands SEO, and someone who can run ads.

A partnership with PEAK gives you all of it, for a fraction of one salary, with no payroll and no overhead.

We’ve Rebuilt The End Result

Same pattern, two industries: they asked for more pages. We rebuilt one system that could hold every location and the right buyer.

Charter School

A classical charter asked for a landing page and a button. The site had hit its page limit. A second campus was coming, and two more schools were already in plan. We did not add a page. We rebuilt the operation.

  • Analyzed a 100-page site and rebuilt it as 21 core pages, with campus content in the CMS so a new location is added to the system instead of copied into a new website

  • Structured three paths: incoming families, current families, and investors

  • Incoming families get a decision path (understand the model, see the campus, apply) without walking through handbooks and carline

  • Current families get a task hub for schedules, forms, lunch, aftercare, and portals, so the office stops being the search bar

  • Investors get a growth and accountability path: the case for the next campus, not another Admissions page with a Donate button

The site launched as infrastructure for a network. Opted out of partnership. When staff later duplicated pages anyway, it proved the original point: when the website is the operation, the operation needs an owner.

Commercial Leasing

A salon-suite company was running four websites, one per Houston location. Most visitors thought Uptown was a salon. The calls coming in were people asking about haircut prices, not stylists asking about space. We did not keep four sites. We rebuilt the operation around the right buyer.

  • Made the offer unmistakable: “Luxury Suites for Independent Beauty Professionals,” so the site stopped converting the wrong audience

  • Consolidated four sites into one CMS. Creekside, Woodlands, Spring, and Royal Oaks became location records, not four brands competing with each other in search

  • Rebuilt how visitors find professionals: location, then service, then suite, identical and mobile-first across all four front doors

  • Gave leasing prospects a dedicated path to inquire, instead of a contact form that collected appointment requests

  • One brand, four locations, one place to update, the same pattern as a school network, in commercial leasing

First year after launch: 81 leasing inquiries (up 440%), organic search traffic up 466%, 9 keywords at position 1 including every location, and four hosting bills reduced to one. The inquiries changed, not just the count.

We don't start with a menu. We start with the plan.

A partnership is not a stack of deliverables you have to manage. We own the function with you: what the site is for, what gets built, what gets retired, and where spend should go. The work then follows that plan.

Website

The operating site, plus the edits and new pages your business actually needs. Not a second site every time something changes.

Search and AI Visibility

Technical SEO, Google Business Profile management, content built around what your customers actually search, and the AI search readiness most agencies aren't doing yet.

Advertising

Google and Meta campaigns built, monitored, and refined. Sending paid traffic to a homepage that wasn’t built for it is how budgets disappear.

Brand and Creative

Logos, graphics, social content, print, and whatever else needs to look like it came from the same company.

Strategy

The part most agencies skip. We look at where your revenue actually comes from and build the marketing around that, not around what's easy to produce.

Reporting

Traffic, rankings, inquiries, and what changed because of the work, in a conversation, not a PDF you skim.

If you already have a site that is structurally right and you only need search, ads, and updates tended, that is Growth Partner, not this partnership seat. View our Growth Partner information here.

Three Ways to Work Together.

Same person. Different amount of ownership.

Project by Project

For when you already know what you need. A new site, a rebrand, a campaign for a launch. You define the finish line, we hit it, and there's no monthly line item afterward.

The honest trade-off: a project ends. Whatever momentum it builds is yours to maintain.

Quoted per project

Twelve-month partnership
Best value, includes a full website build

For the owner who's done deciding this is important and wants it handled.

A robust new website and a full year of marketing built around where your revenue actually comes from.

Six months is long enough to prove this works. Twelve is where it pays. Months seven through twelve are when the first six start returning: the search authority built in spring is what brings people in through fall, and a campaign with a year of data behind it behaves nothing like one with three months of it.

Stop at six and the momentum becomes yours to maintain. Some owners want exactly that, and it's a fair choice. But you'll have paid for the building and collected only part of the return.

The rate is lower here because a year lets us plan instead of sprint.

Starting at $1250/ month

Six-month partnership

For the owner who's been meaning to fix this for a year and wants to see what a real marketing function actually does before committing further.

Six months is long enough for rankings to move, for campaigns to be optimized rather than just launched, and for you to find out whether having someone accountable for this changes anything. Most clients know by month four.

If you decide to move to a twelve-month partnership within those first four months, we'll credit the difference. You shouldn't be penalized for starting cautiously.

$1850/ month

Whichever you choose, you're working with me. Not an account manager, not a junior designer, and not a rotating team you have to re-explain your business to every quarter.

And here's the honest case for doing this instead of hiring.

No overhead, flexible spend, and less to manage.

Growth vs Partnership

If you would need to hire a person to decide what marketing even is this quarter, you want the partnership. If you already know and just need it done every month, you want Growth.

Choose

Growth Partner

The site structure is fully optimized

You have one primary offer and one primary customer

You need search, ads, and updates managed every month

We collaborate to make the marketing decisions

choose

Fractional Partnership

Your customers / clients use the site to operate, not just to browse

You have multiple locations or plan to grow

Noone owns marketing or multiple people make edits

You need someone to decide what gets built or where changes need to be done

When Your Website Is The Operation

Parents check it for the schedule. Families register through it. Staff changes, class descriptions change, news changes, forms change, seasons change. It isn't a project that finished at launch. It's a living thing that has to be right on a Tuesday morning in October.

Here's what usually happens to sites like that.

They launch clean. Then the updates start, and they go to whoever has a minute. The office manager or secretary one month, a coach the next, a board member after that, sometimes a parent volunteer. Everyone's doing their best, and nobody was trained on it.

So fonts drift and the branding stops holding together. A page gets duplicated instead of edited. URLs, title tags, and meta descriptions quietly stop matching what's actually on the page, so the site works against you in search without anyone noticing. Former staff stay listed and the schedule becomes a screenshot. Two years in, half the links are dead and nobody's certain which calendar is current.

Then the phone starts ringing, because families can't find what they need and calling is faster than looking. Some of those calls come in after hours, or when nobody's free to pick up. Those people don't call back.

That's not a website problem. It's an ownership problem.

We take it. Weekly or daily updates, made properly, in the same brand system every time. New staff, new classes, news, forms, registration windows, seasonal changes. The site still looks like itself in year three because one person has been maintaining it the whole time.

And when a section stops working, we tell you, instead of adding another page on top of it.

Why The Partnership Pays

Ultimate All Stars launched out of an established dance studio with 14 athletes and one generic page. If a family wasn’t already in the building, they had no way to find the program.

  • Built an identity of its own, then a website structured around what a parent needs to decide: what the program is, who it’s for, what the commitment looks like, how to join

  • Made the program findable in search, then ran ads to public tumbling, camps, and clinics. The door most families walk through before they join a team

  • Athletes grew from 14 to 51, roughly 40% every year. The program outgrew its space and opened its own gym

  • Page views 714 → 13,689. Organic visitors 16 → 661. 285% return on ad spend at $27.22 per public-class registration

Youth programs have the cleanest return math in business. At roughly $2,500 a season and three years in a program, every athlete is worth about $7,500. A website that brings in two athletes has paid for itself. Everything after that is growth.

The hard part isn’t the math. It’s being findable by the parents who aren’t already in your network, and keeping the site right once they are.
